"Let the beauty we love be what we do." ~ RUMI ~

Having been a miniature porcelain doll artist working in 1/12th scale for years, I have now stumbled across the joys of working in polymer clay. I’m a stay-at-home wife and mom of two teenage boys and a work-from-home artist who, like so many, continues to strive for a balance between wanting lots of family time and lots of time to create. Finding lots of time in a fast-paced world of chaos is still elusive but sleeping as little as possible helps. :0)

To get to know me a little better, here are some of my likes and dislikes.

Things I like particularly well
My quirky family and assorted pets
Creating anything that appeals to me
Writing stories for children
Raindrop races on tree branches
The path less traveled
Eccentric people
Beauty marks
Scotland
The name “J. Alfred Prufrock”
Snow Angels with broken wings
Cold weather
Timeless faces
Firelight
Heart design in the froth of a latte
Pink M&M’s
Sincere friends
Teddy bears
Twin-tailed comets
Depth of soul in someone’s eyes
Accomplished musicians
Lips that curl up at the corners
Clean beaches
People who snort when they laugh
A wicked sense of humor
Old graveyards
Being silly

Things I don’t like very much
Stepping on chewing gum
Expectations from others
Sushi
Rushing to do anything or go anywhere
The smell of wet animals
Brown crayons and brown M&M’s
Large belt buckles
Hot weather (okay, I like it 71 degrees or less)
Overly-endowed fairy folk of either gender
Pretense
An incessant inner monologue
Obnoxious songs that get stuck in your head
Lipstick that bleeds into wrinkles

So, if you’ve come looking for well-endowed fairy folk who wear large belt buckles and have lipstick bleeding into their wrinkles, then you’ve come to the wrong place.  Otherwise, welcome to my web world. Thank you again for stopping by.  I hope that you'll visit my site again soon.
